Guinness and I will be co-hosting the Inaugural Dog Day on the Green Festival presented by Chicago City Clerk Miguel del Valle, August 2nd from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Shane will also be doing some filming at the event, so come on down and you might end up on camera!

This should be a really fun event where dog owners, dog lovers, and their families come together to enjoy a fun day at the park. This event will bring together dog owners, animal organizations, vendors, and a variety of dog services under one roof in a controlled and festive family environment.

Dog Day in the Green is the result of a collaborative effort to educate consumers on all dog-related issues serving as a platform to make a significant difference in the community. The event is aimed at achieving several goals:

  • To promote dog registration through Chicago City Clerk’s Officeto promote awareness among young people and adults about the responsibilities of adopting and training a dog, the importance of neutering, spaying, canine health, exercise and nutrition.

  • To inform the public about available services for dogs: choosing the right food, veterinary and grooming services, insurance, microchips, and vaccinations.

  • To celebrate years of unconditional love and dedication to our furry friends.

  • To enjoy a day in the park with our family and our favorite friend.

  • Overall, there will be a lot of great things to check out, so mark the day in your calendar, and plan to attend!
