Rescued “Mutt” Becomes The Star Of The New IPTV Series The Urban Mutt

Chad Lopez from HGTV’s “Designed to Sell” Embarks on a New Endeavor With His Furry Best Friend Guinness

Chicago, IL (PRWEB) May 22, 2009 — The Urban Mutt premiered on March 30th with strong support from pet lovers, pet shop owners, and animal adoption centers, attracting an international fan base from 14 countries and over 400 cities around the world. In the show, Guinness and Chad travel throughout Chicago finding all the businesses, products, services, and perks available for dogs and dog lovers. The IPTV (web-based television) series uses the power of the internet to bring high-quality, original programming to animal lovers all across the globe. “Eventually,” Chad hinted “we’d like to shoot episodes of the show in cities everywhere.”

The Urban Mutt has also become very active in the fight against animal cruelty, teaming up with local shelters and rescues for events. They want to use the show to help boost awareness about this problem, which affects pets and animals all around the world.

When Chad and his girlfriend, Cynthia Gaspar, adopted Guinness from PAWS Chicago, they had no idea he was destined to be a star. It wasn’t long though, before Chad knew that he wanted to help educate pet owners everywhere, and enlisted Guinness’s help to create the show. In The Urban Mutt, Chad and Guinness highlight fun and helpful services, and show owners where to take their pets for boarding, training, food, adoptions, and other fun activities.

“The show is more than just a successful adoption story. The Urban Mutt is committed to showcasing all aspects of the canine industry: rescue organizations, bakeries and treats, pet fitness and nutrition, trails and tours, or non-traditional veterinary clinics,” said Chad Lopez, creator of The Urban Mutt. “We are filling a void in the entertainment industry for all pet lovers, and providing an in-depth, behind the scenes look at all the services and products offered to our four-legged friends,” concluded Chad.

As a show dedicated to animals and the people who love them, The Urban Mutt was a proud sponsor and Host of the Third Annual Great American Mutt Show which took place on May 16th, a sponsor for The Anti-Cruelty Society’s Wooftop Party and Adopt-A-Thon coming up on June 13th, and Co-host of the Dog Day on the Green Festival on August 2nd at Soldier Field.
